Functional fitness training is a type of strength training that readies your body for a variety activities. These exercises equip you for many daily and athletic requirements that include lifting, loading, pushing, pulling, squatting and hauling. Our program includes many multi-joint movement patterns that involve your knees, hips, spine, elbows, wrists, and shoulders, which all build strength and improve your range of motion. During our functional fitness classes you will also work to increase your aerobic and anaerobic threshold.
High school and collegiate training incorporates strength, power, agility and speed training to ensure successful performance outcomes. In addition to performance gains, we focus on proper training methodologies to prevent unnecessary injury. Lifting mechanics will focus on power movements like squats, pushes, presses and deadlifts. Olympic movements like cleans, clean and jerks and snatches will be incorporated as well.
Youth strength and conditioning focuses on strength, neural and functional movement skills (FMS). The goal is to increase strength, speed and agility, but with a focus on body weight exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, bodyweight lunges, squats, step-ups and suspension training.
